The New Daily Gazette Schenectady, NY

There has been little reaction to the recent changes made by The Gazette Newspapers in Schenectady to its daily and Sunday editions. My initial response, and one I still maintain, is that changing the position of articles, using different fonts and adding lots of color are only superficial changes. While I don't mind most of the changes, the bumper crop of spelling, factual and other errors that have crept into The Gazette over the past few years has not changed. And why are all the photos of the columnists cropped so the top of their heads are cut off? Is this considered avant-garde, just poor photo editing or is management at the Gazette sending subtle hints to its columnists?
